Transversal Flux Motor

This new type of motor will drive 2 axis of a stamping machine. The motor is developped and produced by TIRRON Elektronik GmbH.

The properties of the motor are very high torque at low RPM, which enables unprecedented acceleration / deceleration curves and which makes the use of a gear box obsolete. Together with patented motor controller cards, which host E-shaped acceleration and deceleration curves this system will noticeably increase production efficiency. The overall controller will be a very cost effective Siemens S7 1214C controller with a KTP 600 touch panel.

• 160mm diameter
• 80 poles
• 2 phases
• 325 rpm
• 22 Nm torque
• 160 V voltage
